Dr. Bashir is a highly trained and fully accredited plastic, reconstructive and cosmetic surgeon with over 20 years’ experience working in the National Health Service, UK. Over the last 2 years he has brought his unique experience and skills to Vancouver, Canada, where is provides complex plastic surgical and reconstructive care to patients who have sustained trauma and suffered from cancer.

His plastic surgery training took place in centers of excellence in London (U.K.), and he has undertaken fellowships in microsurgery & facial reconstruction at the St. Andrew’s Centre for Plastic Surgery, Chelmsford and craniofacial surgery at both the Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, London and Vancouver General Hospital, Canada.

Notably, he has also undertaken a fellowship in cosmetic surgery at The London Clinic on Harley Street, London. He was a consultant plastic surgeon in the north-east of England for 8 years where he had a strong practice consisting of skin cancer management and treating patients with a wide variety of facial and body deformities requiring complex reconstructions. It is these skills that lead to him being singled out for the position he has taken up in Vancouver.

Dr. Bashir is passionate about teaching and is a clinical lecturer for the University of British Columbia. In his role as a Plastic Surgeon for the UBC Division of Plastic Surgery, he also helps train the next generation of plastic surgeon, imparting his knowledge and surgical skills, ultimately improving future care for patients.

He is extensively trained in all aspects of cosmetic surgery including breast and body rejuvenation. Given his subspecialty expertise, he particularly excels in facial cosmetic surgery of all types.
